Senior Budgeting Manager

Job Description:

This role is responsible for leading the budgeting, planning and analysis function. The Senior Budgeting Manager will work closely with all departments to ensure accountability for budgets and forecasts.

  • Budget Planning: Responsible for planning, preparation, implementation and monitoring of annual budget and forecasts to support timely decision-making by higher management.
  • Budget Models: Develops budgeting and forecasting models as per business needs.
  • Rolling Forecasts: Prepares quarterly rolling forecasts (RF) and GAP analysis to identify areas of improvement and maintain organizational objectives.
  • Performance Analysis: Conducts analysis of actual performance against the budget/RF.
  • Financial Reporting: Conducts detailed analysis of month-on-month and year-to-date management accounts, including commentary for reporting to directors.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ensures effective stakeholder management, challenging teams to optimize business performance.
  • Cost Control: Coordinates with departments to control costs and increase revenues.
  • Operational Reporting: Provides operational and ad-hoc reporting, including sales analysis, monthly efficiency analysis, etc.
  • Director's Report: Sets up Director's report for Executive Directors to be incorporated in published quarterly and annual reports.
  • Team Management: Leads support staff, ensuring relevant tasks are delegated, quality and accuracy of work is delivered, meeting all agreed timelines.
  • Career Development: Manages and mentors team members, ensuring their career development and growth.
Requirements:

Accountancy: CA Finalist / ACCA Member

Relevant Experience: 05 to 07 years of relevant experience

Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills, Demonstrable experience of effective stakeholder engagement and management, Ability to influence and challenge people at various levels in a positive manner, Team management and development skills.
