The role of a pharmacist is crucial in providing quality patient care. Pharmacists work in various settings, including hospitals and clinics, to ensure that patients receive the right medication at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense medications to patients in inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory settings
  • Review and process physician orders for accurate therapeutic doses
  • Monitor laboratory reports for proper indication of antibiotics, drug interactions, and duplication
  • Ensure timely delivery of medications to nursing units and patients
  • Verify accuracy of labels before dispensing
  • Complete expiration of drug lists accurately and on time
  • Assist with patient counseling for outpatient prescriptions and maintenance of cash
  • Prepare cytotoxic drugs, TPN solutions, IVPB mixtures, sterile injections, bulk compounding, and monitor chemo critical lists
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
  • Current registration with pharmacy council Pakistan
  • At least one year experience in a reputable organization
  • Familiarity with hospital pharmacy functioning and processes
  • Solid knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical concepts
  • Knowledge of locally available drugs, pharmaceuticals, and their indications
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with medical professionals and patients
  • Willingness to work in shift duties
