Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to customers through various channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and effective solutions to customer issues via tickets, chat, and phone.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork in a 24/7 environment, with flexibility in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Cater to complex customer queries on chats and tickets, and provide support to junior team members as needed.
  • Automate procedures to save team time and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and react to abuse reports in close coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Help junior team members with reacting to alerts on monitoring frameworks (Slack, Sensu, and Zabbix).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues through live chat.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, with 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Solid concepts and knowledge of programming languages (PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bash, Python).
  • Strong-Advanced knowledge of Linux operating environments (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS) and web technologies (Apache, Nginx, Varnish, Memcache, MySQL, APC, PHP-FPM).
  • Advanced skill level in system performance troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of services (GIT, SMTP, DNS, OpenVPN, Postfix, Crons, SSL, Sensu).
  • Analysis of logs (sys, stack).
  • Debugging of open source application related issues.
  • Ability to cope with new / unknown technical issues and take initiative in tackling them.
  • Strong knowledge of web applications migration process (unknown issues, CMS migration, troubleshooting, perfection, Cpanel & other hostings knowledge, advance CLI commands to pull data).
  • Good experience with MySQL.
  • Good knowledge of monitoring tools like Opsgenie and Sensu.
  • Possess excellent analytical and decision making skills.
  • Be an independent player who can work independently on shifts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills due to dynamic collaborations with customers.
  • Strong understanding of systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Process oriented and proactive.
  • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills - ability to set and enforce processes.
  • Ability to operate in an Agile and Kanban environment.
  • Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure environments (like AWS, GCE, etc.).
  • Experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for PaaS/cloud service providers.
  • Good mentorship skills.
