
Employee Relations Specialist

Role Overview:
This position serves as a key partner to business and HR leaders in driving employee relations. The employee relations specialist plays a vital role in creating a great employee experience by ensuring unbiased and neutral facilitation of the resolution process of complaints and concerns.
The ideal candidate will assume ownership of cases assigned, monitor progress, and ensure timely resolution. They will conduct investigations with varying levels of difficulty and sensitivity, making recommendations on appropriate resolutions.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the main point of contact and ER investigator
- Conducts investigations and makes recommendations on appropriate resolutions
- Assumes ownership of cases assigned and monitors progress
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves issues of employee concerns or conflict in an appropriate and timely manner
- Helps facilitate the open-door process and investigates complaints or legal charges
- In consultation with legal and HRBPs, plans and implements ER processes, plans, programs, and tools to build and enhance organizational capability
- Participating in mediation and alternative dispute resolution may also be required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent in work experience
- 5+ years experience in the HRBP domain with 3+ years of direct experience with employee relations and/or labor relations
- Effective conflict management skills
- Fair understanding and knowledge of employment laws is a plus
- Strong communicator
