Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Development

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Procurement and Administration who will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication and coordination with customers regarding new, ongoing, or future procurement requirements. This position involves working closely with the projects team to scope hardware needs and collaborating with various departments to procure the correct hardware at the best price and deliver it on time according to customer expectations.

This individual will be responsible for developing strong relationships with procurement companies, researching suppliers and vendors that meet our goals, meeting with supervisors and department heads to understand their needs, forecasting supplies, reviewing requests for proposals (RFPs) and statements of work (SOWs), negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers, delegating tasks to the procurement team, training new employees, collecting and analyzing data, finding suppliers with desired certifications and insurance, and working with cross-functional teams to manage change orders and scoping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with procurement companies and suppliers.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential suppliers and vendors that align with our goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions.
  • Review and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms.
  • Delegate tasks to the procurement team to optimize efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to new employees.
  • Analyze data to inform procurement decisions.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a buyer.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts.
  • Proficiency in inventory and RFP/SOW management.
