IT Infrastructure Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT infrastructure manager to oversee the maintenance and optimization of our systems.

This role involves installing and configuring software, monitoring system performance, and ensuring security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure through access controls, backups, and firewalls etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installing and configuring software
  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues and bug fixes
  • Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure through access controls, backups and firewalls etc.
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Set up accounts and workstations
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

As an IT infrastructure manager, you will have the opportunity to work independently on new projects and communicate clearly with our distributed team. You will be responsible for ensuring the security, efficiency and reliability of our IT infrastructure.

We are looking for a resourceful and problem-solving individual with a minimum of 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure management. You should have experience managing Linux/CentOS servers and knowledge of system security, data backup/recovery, databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Manager or similar role
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience
  • Experience managing Linux/CentOS servers
  • Knowledge of system security, data backup/recovery, databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
