Principal Maintenance Engineer

This role requires a highly skilled professional to oversee the operation, maintenance, and project functions of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. The successful candidate will have comprehensive expertise in the design, implementation, and management of these systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Operation & Maintenance: Plan, monitor, and control the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, including compressors, cooling towers, pumps, gears, conveyors, sifters, dryers, elevators, mills, centrifuges, fans, motors, LT/HT switchgears, generators, and 132 KV grid stations.
  • Project Management: Design mechanical and electrical systems, manage capex projects, and ensure timely completion within allocated budgets.
  • Inventory Management: Evaluate critical store items, select materials based on quality evaluation metrics (QEMs), and follow up on deliveries for machine parts.
  • Contractor Management: Manage contractors for project execution, meet deadlines, and evaluate contractor bids and QEMs.
  • People Management: Lead teams, develop close coordination among departments, provide awareness of best practices, and guide staff in technical matters.
  • Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Ensure compliance with company policies and share continuous improvement projects to conserve energy through process optimization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • At least 20 years' experience in O&M, or 10 years' experience in B.Sc. or M.Sc. Engineering
  • Prior work experience in Petro-chemical, Fertilizer, Process, Food, or Cement Industry
  • Sound knowledge of ERP systems, Lean Six Sigma, MS Office, ETAB, AutoCAD, and Power BI
  • Good understanding of international standards for EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO, and Food Safety
