Administrative Manager

This role is responsible for planning, directing, or coordinating supportive services of an organization. It involves managing various administrative tasks such as record-keeping, mail distribution, and supplies.

The Administrative Manager also oversees communication systems by identifying needs, evaluating options, and maintaining equipment. Additionally, they are responsible for staff management, which includes recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

This position requires strong leadership skills, including communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. The Administrative Manager must also be able to coach, counsel, and discipline employees when necessary.

Another key aspect of this role is purchasing printed materials and forms by obtaining requirements, negotiating price, quality, and delivery, and approving invoices.

The Administrative Manager maintains historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems. They also contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Beyond their administrative responsibilities, the Administrative Manager improves program and service quality by devising new applications, updating procedures, and evaluating system results with users.

Key qualifications for this role include basic computer skills, excellent communication skills (oral and written), and a good reference in all areas to get work done.
