- About the Role:
- Cultivate Sales Engineers: Foster the development of commercial sales engineers, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
- Daily Operations: Ensure effective allocation of resources and consistent delivery of high-quality technical support for commercial sales engagements.
- Collaborate with Commercial Managers: Strategize on key accounts, identify customer pain points, and develop tailored technical solutions and demonstration plans.
- Foster Teamwork: Conduct regular one-on-ones and team meetings to share best practices and address challenges.
- Evaluate Technical Proposals: Review and approve proposals, demonstrations, and presentations prepared by your team, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and impact.
- Provide Guidance: Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, providing guidance and support to your team.
- Develop Training Materials: Contribute to the ongoing development of training materials and programs for Sales Engineers, focusing on product knowledge, sales methodologies, and technical skills.
- Talent Acquisition: Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new Sales Engineers, helping to build a strong and diverse team.
- Performance Monitoring: Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead role within a technical pre-sales or Sales Engineering capacity.
- Bachelor's Degree: Required, Bachelor's of Science preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience as an individual contributing Sales Engineer with a strong track record of success.
- Coaching and Mentoring Skills: Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing talent.
- Commercial Sales Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial sales cycles and the role of pre-sales in accelerating deals.
- Value Selling Concepts: Familiarity with value selling concepts and methodologies.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong technical aptitude with practical experience of SaaS, hardware, IoT, and potentially AI/ML technologies.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and propose effective solutions.
- Dynamic Environment: Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Pakistani Market Knowledge: Knowledge of the Pakistani market and local business practices is a plus.
