Job Description:
IT Systems Administrator - Networks and Infrastructure

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of data center facilities, including the installation, configuration, fault management, troubleshooting, maintenance, replacement, expansion, and renovation of hardware, servers, SAN, telecommunication infrastructure, and networks. The selected individual must ensure the ongoing suitability of the facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Designing, planning, and managing state-of-the-art data centers
  2. Implementing security policies, procedures, and best practices
  3. Managing highly redundant Storage Area Network (SAN) at primary and metro sites
  4. Synchronous replication of data from Primary site to Metro site at both Data Centers
  5. Asynchronous replication of data from Metro sites to Primary sites and Vice versa
  6. Recovery of data with previous day's data, being the most current, from offsite, in the event of total catastrophe
  7. Emergency automatic fail-over to active/active/hot site
  8. Recovery of data systems and networks in aftermath of disruption
  9. Maintenance of a NOC Area Services Desk as the single point of contact for general service inquiries, incident reports, etc.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Network Administration
  • At least 3 years of experience in planning, designing, configuring, developing, deploying, modifying, administering, maintaining, monitoring, performance optimizing, and implementing security policies, procedures, and best practices of complex wired and wireless/radio technology, local area network (LAN), metropolitan area networks (MAN), VSAT network, extranets, intranets, protocols (TCP/IP, remote access, network services (COS, Policy Based Networking, etc.)
  • Extensive expertise in Infrastructure Servers, Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP, Proxy, Threat Management Gateway (TMG) Server, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, Server Forms, Load balancing, SAN & NAS devices
  • Configuration and deployment experience of Network Monitoring Systems
  • High proficiency in Windows/Linux/Unix based mission-critical web/application/database servers
  • Fully aware and experienced in Data Center infrastructure i.e. cooling system, generators, UPS etc.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures
  • Strong understanding of Network layout and design desirable
  • Ability to make critical decisions
