Achieve Academic Excellence as a Learning Facilitator

We are seeking an accomplished and academic-minded individual to join our team as a Learning Facilitator. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for someone with a Master's degree in Computer Science to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program.

As a Learning Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students through complex technical content, assisting with assignments, and facilitating academic excellence in an online learning environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide structured academic assistance to undergraduate students across core computer science subjects such as Programming and Software Engineering, Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems and Computer Networks, Databases and Web Development, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (as per curriculum).
  • Guide students in completing Coursera coursework, ensuring adherence to academic integrity policies.
  • Offer one-on-one or group-based virtual mentoring sessions to clarify concepts and resolve academic challenges.
  • Monitor learner performance and progress on the Coursera platform, proactively reaching out to at-risk students.
  • Assist in developing academic support content such as FAQs, sample solutions, walkthroughs, or tutorial videos.
  • Collaborate with course instructors, graders, and program coordinators to ensure alignment with academic goals.
  • Moderate discussion forums and peer-reviewed assignments, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay updated with changes to Coursera course content and communicate updates to students promptly.

Requirements:

  • Mastery of core computer science subjects taught at the undergraduate level.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with online learning platforms (Coursera preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to support diverse learners in a remote learning environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a teaching assistant, course facilitator, or academic mentor.
  • Familiarity with the Coursera BSc Computer Science curriculum (e.g., University of London or equivalent).
  • Experience with collaborative tools like GitHub, Jupyter Notebooks, IDEs, and cloud platforms.
  • Prior exposure to assessment design and student progress analytics.
