Customer Project Manager Job Description

This is a high-level project management role where you will lead customer engagements and ensure successful project delivery for IP Core solutions across the Middle East and Africa.

You will manage both sales and delivery lifecycle, driving business growth and operational excellence through collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

You will play a key role in securing and delivering high-quality, profitable projects supporting Ericsson's leadership in mobile and data network services.

  • Develop IP Core sales opportunities by working with customers and internal teams during presales.
  • Lead service costing, risk assessment, scope definition, and planning activities for proposals.
  • Ensure full alignment between contract commitments and delivery execution.
  • Define project scope, secure resources, and establish the project plan.
  • Drive project execution, monitor progress, and manage changes, risks, and escalations.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget and scope, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor financial performance to meet targets.
  • Maintain accurate data for transparent and timely reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Our ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, IT, or Telecommunications.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • At least 8 years of domain experience in mobile and data networks.
  • Strong business and financial skills including margin management.
  • Consultative selling and customer engagement skills.
  • Negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Strong planning, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of project sales processes.
  • Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 preferred.
  • Experience in contract management and third-party coordination.
