Our organization is seeking a dedicated Lady Health Visitor to join our clinical services team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in providing reproductive health education, and the ability to work under supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality outpatient consultation services for sexual and reproductive health services.
  • Take comprehensive patient histories, perform examinations, and identify risk factors to provide appropriate care during antenatal and postnatal periods.
  • Prescribe treatment or refer patients to medical officers for gynecological conditions.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments of women and children, and refer malnourished cases to partner organizations for further treatment.
  • Support safe baby deliveries under medical supervision when facilities and services are available.
  • Participate in neonatal resuscitation activities under the guidance of qualified medical doctors.
  • Provide educational sessions on family planning, danger signs during pregnancy, ANC/PNC, exclusive breastfeeding, skilled deliveries, balanced diets, and vaccinations.
  • Ensure timely TT vaccination for women and children through referrals to relevant departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of ANC/PNC registers, FP registers, OPD registers, and MHNIS tools related to maternal and child health units.
  • Practice universal precautions for infection control and promote such practices among healthcare teams.
  • Refer complicated cases promptly based on international SRH clinical standards.
  • Offer CMR/IPV services under medical supervision with proper training and available resources.
  • Submit weekly reports of activities/patients according to set processes and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members in review and planning meetings as part of the health team.

Requirements
  • A valid license to practice as a Lady Health Visitor (LHV) or community midwife from a recognized nursing institution.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
  • Previous NGO experience is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly on sensitive reproductive health topics.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in local languages will be an asset.
