Job Role:

Develop and implement trade governance strategies that align with the bank's objectives, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

  • Lead the creation and execution of trade operation policies, controls, and protocols across the bank, ensuring consistency in transaction processing, reporting, risk management, and compliance.
  • Regularly assess gaps in the trade governance framework in response to changes in regulations, bank objectives, or internal policies.
  • Prepare, update, and revise trade operation policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Recommend decisions on exceptions related to trade operations where policy parameters or SOPs are breached or extenuating circumstances require intervention.
  • Undertake regular visits to trade hubs to evaluate ground-level factors impacting the trade governance framework.
  • Oversee the execution of operational processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to the trade governance team to ensure high standards of operations within the department.

The ideal candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with various teams within the bank to achieve optimal results. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential for this role.
