Medical Receptionist Job Opportunity

Job Description: We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to provide exceptional support in our laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing laboratory tests prescribed by doctors, ensuring specimens are collected as required. They will brief patients on laboratory tests and procedures, providing verbal/written instructions for specimen collection. Additionally, they will verify test requirements with patients and confirm necessary details.

The Medical Receptionist will handle cash and credit transactions, maintaining accurate records of excess/shortage according to laboratory policy. They will respond to telephonic and in-person inquiries regarding laboratory tests and schedule appointments for special tests. Furthermore, they will perform dual functions as a Phlebotomist at collection points, as required.

Requirements for the position include at least two years of relevant work experience, including one year as a Phlebotomist. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, particularly strong communication skills. Proficient computer use and basic applications are also essential. Adequate knowledge of laboratory tests and procedures is necessary, as well as flexibility to perform shift duties.
