Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Supervisor in the Health Information Management Services department. The successful candidate will oversee the activities of release of information, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree and at least 4-6 years of relevant work experience in health information management.
  • They will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with good knowledge of computer packages and health information management systems.
  • A strong understanding of leadership principles and interpersonal skills is essential for success in this role.

The Supervisor will be responsible for conducting unit meetings, counseling staff, and resolving problems in collaboration with other departments. They will also optimize system performance, manage staff during holidays and emergencies, and prepare duty rosters.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise the activities of release of information to ensure smooth functioning of the unit according to Medical Records policies and procedures.
  2. Liaise with other departments to resolve problems and ensure the effective operation of the unit.
  3. Optimize system performance to simplify working routines and increase output.
  4. Manage staff during public holidays, strikes, and emergency situations.
  5. Prepare duty rosters and monitor attendance sheets to ensure sufficient staff coverage.
  6. Measure quality against specific indicators to assess compliance.
  7. Release medical information to external customers as per HIMS policy and procedure.
  8. Perform other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
