Accounting Manager Position

This is a high-level accounting position responsible for overseeing the accounts payable department and ensuring that all financial obligations are met efficiently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the accounts payable department and staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team performance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Manage and supervise the accounts payable department and staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team performance.
  • Financial Management: Oversee functions such as general ledger management, accounts payable, and project accounting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax policies and procedures, including tax withholding and clearance of tax GLs in the software, to minimize risks and avoid penalties.
  • Expenditure Tracking: Monitor and maintain records of company expenditures, provide regular reports to supervisors, and ensure accurate tracking of financial transactions.
  • Payment Transactions: Oversee all payment transactions, ensuring timely processing and compliance with company policies.
  • System Optimization: Standardize procedures to improve efficiency, create internal templates, and implement best practices to streamline financial processes.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly and accurately to queries and concerns.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve processes to minimize payable aging, advance aging, and resolve queries efficiently.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in financial software and systems, with experience in general ledger management, accounts payable, and project accounting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, with relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) a plus.
