The FAO Country Office in Islamabad, Pakistan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Project Officer. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through the FAO Strategic Framework.

Job Description:
The Project Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the FAO Strategic Framework, providing technical leadership assistance on project development, implementation, and evaluation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project or programme management, administration, technical cooperation's related activities, policy advice and analysis relating to food and nutrition security, agriculture and rural development, monitoring and evaluation of policies and projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have an advanced university degree in business or public administration, agricultural or agriculture economics, development economics, rural sociology, food security, nutrition, sustainable, or related field. A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in project or programme management, administration, technical cooperation's related activities, policy advice and analysis relating to food and nutrition security, agriculture and rural development, monitoring and evaluation of policies and projects is required. Working knowledge (proficiency - level C) of English and intermediate knowledge (intermediate proficiency - level B) of one of the other FAO official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is also necessary.
