Global Procurement Specialist

The Associate Supply Chain Planner will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's procurement strategy. This highly skilled professional will be responsible for developing and executing spend management programs, ensuring maximum value is achieved across assigned categories and brands.

  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best overall price considering factors such as price, availability, payment terms, shipping, return privileges, and timely delivery.
  • Optimize inventory levels to minimize the risk of aged/obsolete products while maintaining product availability.
  • Provide thought leadership to internal stakeholders on purchasing and inventory management options.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the execution of purchase orders to suppliers based on demand, cycle time, location, availability, and price.
  • Collaborate with distributors and manufacturers to establish and attain goals and directives for each category, including forecasting inventory requirements by warehouse location.
  • Develop and maintain alternate sources for constrained and allocated products.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • 1-2 years' experience working in an offshore/outsource model in a combined sales/operation/supply chain function, preferably in the reseller hardware/software industry.
  • General understanding of information technology products and terminology.
