Gas Measurement Expert Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Gas Measurement Expert. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate gas volume measurement at Sales Metering Stations.

  1. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in oil and gas operations, with a strong background in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Chemical / Petroleum / Electronics engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Orifice metering setups for safe, reliable, and efficient gas measurement operations.
  2. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of Orifice Metering and associated flow computers.
  3. Download monthly data from flow computers for billing purposes.
  4. Ensure accurate gas volume measurement at Sales Metering Stations.
  5. Interface Gas Chromatography system with Flow Computer for gas energy determination.
  6. Review and analyze monthly gas metering data.
  7. Undertake calibration and verification of instruments at metering stations.
  8. Install and commission Orifice metering systems or upgrade existing setup as required.
  9. Perform Joint Meter Check activity with the Distribution department.
  10. Assess operationally required spares and materials with the Planning & Procurement team.
  11. Maintain documentation records and implement HSE guidelines during field activities.

Preferred candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure accurate gas measurement operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Chemical / Petroleum / Electronics engineering.
  • Minimum 04 years of post-qualification experience in Oil and Gas operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Orifice metering systems and associated flow computers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
