Payroll and Provident Funds Manager

The role of Payroll and Provident Funds Senior Associate is a critical component of our organization.

  • Process monthly payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Manage the payroll system, including staff additions and deletions, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle loan and advance requests from staff members in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Oversee exit formalities for departing employees, ensuring final settlements are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with income tax, SESSI, PESSI, EOBI, and professional tax regulations.
  • Prepare and submit returns for SESSI, PESSI, and EOBI, adhering to government regulations and deadlines.
  • Submit tax and statutory deductions to the government treasury in a timely manner.
  • Manage the company's Provident Fund, including membership additions, deletions, and profit allocation.
  • Process loan applications, temporary withdrawals, and permanent withdrawal requests from Provident Fund members.
  • Maintain the accounting system for provident funds, ensuring accurate annual profit distribution to members.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the external audit of the Provident Funds, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and available.
  • Support the preparation and review of Provident Funds tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all relevant tax documentation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and retirement fund administration (Gratuity & Provident Fund).
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance regulations related to payroll and employee benefits.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external auditors.
