Corporate Accounting Specialist

Job Description

The role of the Corporate Accounting Specialist is to manage the financial close and reporting process. This involves working closely with various teams, including Finance, Technology, and Corporate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing monthly financial close and reporting process including Service Business Units (SBUs) financial reporting.
  • Driving accurate and timely accounting across business units and entities/subsidiaries; ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting per IFRS and adherence to standard/local accounting practices.
  • Monitoring and reviewing processes pertaining to monthly financial close, AP, fixed assets, cash management, etc., for achievement of defined KPIs; identifying opportunities for process automation and re-engineering.
  • Working closely with Service Operations teams.
  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders for input on complex accounting issues and forming an opinion on the accounting treatments under applicable IFRS.
  • Developing partnership with business teams.
  • Managing accurate and timely group/statutory financial reporting and managing external audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAEW).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting (IFRS), financial reporting, and ERP.
  • Leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Business acumen and teamwork beliefs.
