Delivering exceptional customer service is at the heart of this role as a 7.5t driver.

Job Description

This position involves safely transporting customers' products to their required premises, ensuring all customers receive outstanding service as part of a multi-drop delivery route.

The driver will be responsible for ensuring all products are transported securely to the customers' premises, treating their freight with the utmost care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Drive vehicles safely and legally, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Perform daily checks on vehicles, reporting any defects and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Use DX scanning equipment to scan all products.
  • Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely before leaving the depot.
  • Follow all company procedures and policies at all times.
  • Optimize routing to achieve premium and timed deliveries.
  • Ensure correct equipment and PPE (personal protective equipment) is in good order and used at all times.
  • Report any delivery or on-road issues to the traffic office immediately.
  • Ensure all deliveries arrive in excellent condition every time.
  • Handle customer issues in a polite and effective manner.
  • Collect items according to given instructions and times.
Essential Criteria
  • Hold a valid C1 licence or above, along with a valid DQC and Tacho card.
  • Maximum of 6 points on licence and no bans.
  • Takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Able to build rapport with customers.
