Pipeline Corrosion Control Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pipeline Corrosion Control Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing assistance in Corrosion Control (CC) activities on the pipeline network.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and experience working in Oil & Gas or Public sector. A registration with PEC is mandatory for Engineers.
- Coordinate with government departments/agencies to arrange permissions for CC jobs.
- Perform rectification/maintenance of installed CC stations according to specified standards.
- Coat and wrap pipelines for optimal CC operations.
- Participate in field tests including Pipeline Current Mapping, Close Interval Potential Survey, structure potential, Direct Current Voltage Gradient, soil resistivity etc.
- Plan recoating/rectification of pipelines based on test results.
- Assist in survey, design, and data collection.
- Prepare charts and tables and present them to management.
- Design CC systems including anode type, quantity, and location; rectifier location, test station locations, and other features.
- Install sacrificial anode system for pipeline protection against corrosion and conduct post-installation survey.
- Implement policies, procedures, and rules regarding corrosion control of assets.
- Undertake required corrosion control work for pipelines and systems.
- Prepare survey reports and findings to highlight coating-related deterioration.
- Revalidate Pipeline Integrity Assessment and identify vulnerable sections.
- Plan and coordinate Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) and Fitness for Service (FFS) assessment and propose replacement plans.
- Initiate procurement of necessary material and equipment on a timely basis.
- Monitor and check coating status of under construction and new pipeline projects.
- Ensure compliance with Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Business Principles and Ethics Policy/Code of Conduct.
- Undertake any other task assigned by immediate supervisor.
