Hospital Cook

Our kitchen team is seeking a skilled cook to join their ranks. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our patients, employees, and students.
Job ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the quality of patient and non-patient meals meets set standards by adhering to standardized recipes and preparation techniques.
- Cooking food to precise specifications and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Maintaining kitchen equipment in good working order and reporting any issues or repairs required promptly.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Matriculation or equivalent qualification, preferably with a certificate in cookery, and a minimum of four years of relevant experience in a hospital, hotel, airline, or restaurant setting.
- A solid understanding of menus, recipes, preparation terminologies, and quantity cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles, including proper food handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
- A respectful attitude towards supervisors and colleagues, as well as the ability to work effectively in shifts.
