Localization Operations Director

This is a challenging role that requires strategic thinking and leadership skills to oversee the localization operations of global content. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies to support clients, adapting to a fast-changing industry, and implementing change.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production and localization, with at least 5 years of management experience. They should be proficient in project management tools, word processing, and excel.

  • Develop and implement the vision for reference material creation, aggregation and distribution, ensuring alignment with broader Localization objectives.
  • Work with other members of the Localization Senior Leadership team to define, refine and operate a world class localization operation.
  • Define workflows, ensuring seamless collaboration with stakeholders across localization, post-production, distribution, broadcasting, and other teams.
  • Oversee operations in Mexico City location, partnering with all US and international locations, ensuring consistency and quality across all global activities.

Key Responsibilities:

This role involves supervising daily operations of the team, generating and delivering a high volume of secure materials, ensuring tasks are executed successfully and to strict timelines. It also includes allocating work to staff based on volume, timing, complexity, proficiency, and bandwidth.

The Localization Operations Director will contribute feedback for standard operation procedures and workflows, train staff to ensure deliverables comply with SOPs, brand standards, department needs, and applicable regulations. This role also involves providing team members feedback and coaching in addition to guidance and skill building opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in production / localization with 5+ years of management experience.
  • Extensive Experience with localization production.
  • Experience with digital workflows.
  • Knowledge of business practices and Finance.
  • Extensive knowledge of editorial, distribution systems and tools
  • Proficiency in Project Management Tools, Word, Excel
