Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to manage our virtual office operations and develop best-in-class employment experiences for our team.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in finance management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bulk charges: verify family records, inquire about current charges, schedule changes, and terminations with sites.
  • Update records with accurate schedules, ensure the first month's deposit is recorded, and obtain void cheques during orientation.
  • Subsidies: check records, statements of payment from the government, notify parents of expiring subsidies.
  • Third-party invoicing: send invoices mid-month to ensure payment before bulk charges.
  • Promotions: notify parents whose promotions are expiring that they will be charged full tuition fees at the start of the next month.
  • Outstanding balances: verify balances for each site, contact parents about payment status, and notify sites of upcoming payments.
  • Review unpaid invoices, send reminders to parents about unpaid balances, and update applications with made payments.
  • Review and update 'tuition tracking' spreadsheets for each site and prepare Reasonability tests.
  • Act as the primary contact for sites regarding inquiries.
  • Claim adjustments: process claims for staff and kids from past years.
  • Collections: investigate outstanding balances from 2016 or older, review accounts to follow up with parents.
  • Submit monthly child and staff claims to the government.
Requirements
  • Remote office capabilities: secure internet connection, suitable working computer, telephony, and virtual call applications.
  • 5+ years finance management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (speaking and writing), with strong grammar skills.
  • Educational management experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret information, present numerical data resourcefully, and gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
  • Organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work quality.
