Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations

  • Lead the full cycle of accounting operations, including general ledger management, receivables/payables, payroll, expense control and weekly liquidity control.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with
    IFRS
    ,
    GAAP
    , and
    local regulatory requirements and group management accounting standards
    .
  • Participate and provide financial data for internal Monthly Performance Reviews and closings
  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.

Financial Compliance & Regulatory Reporting

  • Ensure strict adherence to
    SECP
    ,
    FBR
    ,
    SBP
    , and other regulatory frameworks relevant to NBFCs, EMIs, or other fintech licenses.
  • Prepare and submit periodic regulatory filings, audit reports, tax returns, and other disclosures required by authorities.
  • Stay updated on evolving financial regulations and ensure timely implementation of policy changes.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning

  • Design and manage budgets, cash flow planning, and financial forecasts in collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Conduct variance analyses and recommend cost optimization strategies.
  • Provide strategic financial advice for new product launches, capital allocation, and fundraising.
  • Ensure timely requests for funding from the group.
  • Participate in searching for options and negotiating external funding conditions with banks and other potential investors.
  • Assist in preparation of company presentations for investment purposes.

Risk Management & Internal Controls

  • Develop and implement internal control frameworks and audit trails across all financial processes.
  • Monitor financial risks and ensure mitigation strategies are in place, particularly around digital payments and loan disbursement workflows.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performance finance team capable of scaling with the organization.
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with external auditors, consultants, legal advisors, and banking partners.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CA, ACCA, CPA
    or equivalent professional qualification (mandatory).
  • Minimum
    8–10 years
    of accounting and finance experience, with at least
    4+ years in a senior leadership role
    .
  • Experience working within or auditing
    NBFCs, EMIs, MFIs, REITs
    , or other regulated financial entities.
  • Strong understanding of
    Pakistani tax law
    ,
    SECP compliance
    , and
    digital financial systems
    .
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle) and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent communication, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in
    fintech or digital financial services.
  • Exposure to
    cloud-based financial infrastructure.
  • Understanding of
    international investment reporting
    and foreign remittance compliance.
  • Familiarity with
    digital lending platforms
