Are you a tech leader looking to spearhead the development of scalable and high-availability systems? We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in delivering exceptional software applications.

About the Role:

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and developing cloud software applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products, enforce agile practices, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with product owners to define product requirements, develop software applications, and ensure they meet scalability and high-availability standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to help them grow professionally and personally.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the team to experiment with new technologies and approaches.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent: A degree in computer science or a related field is required.
  • 10+ Years of Software Development Experience: You should have at least 10 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in server/client-side software development.
  • 3+ Years of Management Experience: You should have at least 3 years of experience in management, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving results.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of free and open-source software development, including Python, Java, JavaScript, Objective C, and other relevant technologies.
  • Scalability and High-Availability Systems: Experience with designing and developing scalable and high-availability systems, with a strong understanding of RESTful service design and API design.
  • AWS and Cloud Technologies: Experience with AWS and other cloud technologies is a plus.
  • Kubernetes and Containerization: Experience with Kubernetes and containerization is a plus.
  • High-Traffic Web Products: Experience working on high-traffic web products is a plus.
