Job Summary
">- Main Responsibilities: The primary function of this role is to provide exceptional customer service and technical support. This involves process improvement, ensuring the incident logging system operates effectively, efficiently, and in line with industry best practices.
- Technical Expertise: To excel in this position, one must possess advanced knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, applications, and network architectures. In-depth understanding of ITIL and other relevant standards is required for successful performance.
- Ticket Resolution and Goal Achievement: The individual will be expected to contribute significantly to the team's success by resolving tickets in a timely manner and consistently meeting set goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- User Administration and Hardware Maintenance: Managing user accounts, setting up and maintaining peripherals, verifying hardware functionality, and arranging repairs when necessary are all essential tasks.
- System Monitoring and Network Configuration: Continuous monitoring of system performance and creating file systems as needed, while configuring and installing Cisco Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, is crucial for optimal network operation.
- Security Policies and Backup and Recovery: Implementing robust security policies, including those related to computer systems and networks, and establishing effective backup and recovery procedures are critical components of this role.
- Documentation and Network Connectivity: Maintaining accurate records of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and change management processes, while ensuring network connectivity meets technical standards across LAN/WAN infrastructure, is vital.
- Server Maintenance and Scheduling: Regular maintenance of network servers, such as TFTP, syslog, and file servers, scheduling preventive maintenance on all IT equipment, and performing routine upkeep on multimedia devices, end-user systems, and laptops are key responsibilities.
This position requires an individual who can perform multiple tasks, maintain technical skills aligned with changing job conditions, and demonstrate competencies in minimizing recurring issues, monitoring and troubleshooting applications and operating systems, adhering to safety practices, planning and managing projects, following and implementing IT best practices, and maintaining accurate records.
