Job Title: Assistant Manager - Imports

The primary objective of this role is to provide strategic support in planning, coordinating, and executing all activities related to the procurement of goods, supplies, and equipment containers from international sources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Planning: Collaborate with supervisors to develop and implement effective procurement strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Supply Chain Management: Assist in monitoring and managing supply chains, including procurement plans, schedules, and vendor relationships.
  • Tender Preparation: Prepare tender announcements, ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations, and coordinate with stakeholders for successful implementation.
  • Evaluation and Contract Management: Review and evaluate technical and financial bids, prepare evaluation reports, and facilitate contract finalization with suppliers.
  • Import Logistics: Coordinate shipment tracking, clearance, and delivery processes, ensuring timely and efficient import operations.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with the Finance Department on foreign payments, Letters of Credit, and budget preparations.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update supplier and vendor management databases, records, and reports for senior management.

This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in procurement or a related field, along with a strong understanding of import procedures and regulations.
