Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Support Consultant, providing technical expertise and support to our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Unix and Oracle related accounts, acting as L3 support for critical system admin related calls, and performing daily UNIX/Linux system administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing Unix and Oracle related accounts.
  • Production support of UNIX or Linux servers.
  • Performing daily UNIX/Linux system administration tasks.
  • Support and consultancy for the Development and UAT UNIX Environments.
  • Automation of processes utilizing scripting skills.
  • Developing and implementing methods to proactively manage the environment.
  • Ongoing BAU and Project work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, Linux/Redhat installation & administration experience.
  • Working with Volume Groups.
  • A comprehensive understanding of System backups for all flavours of Unix.
  • Performance Analysis experience.
  • Working exposure with Cluster software on Unix Flavours.
  • NFS/NTP/DNS/DHCP/ Network configuration on different Unix Flavours.
  • A comprehensive understanding of networks, DNS, web services, tomcat & Java preferred.
  • Network protocols (TCP/IP).
  • Shell scripting (ksh, perl).
  • Experience in monitoring systems remotely.
