Financial Process Improvement Specialist

This role will focus on overseeing and enhancing financial governance across multiple departments, ensuring that financial operations are not only efficient but also compliant with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop a robust framework for internal control tailored to the utilities sector to ensure adherence to company policies and external regulatory demands.
  • Conduct thorough analysis across various departments to assess risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Ensure strategic decisions are made with a deep understanding of operational, compliance, and financial implications.
  • Identify and analyze financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks. Maintain a comprehensive risk-control register and provide actionable insights to mitigate identified risks.
  • Communicate financial risk assessments and control recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Foster a risk-aware culture within the organization by promoting transparency and proactive risk management.
  • Ensure the organization remains compliant with evolving regulations and industry standards. Implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to manage exposure.
  • Evaluate current internal control systems, recommend improvements, and oversee implementation, with a focus on utilities-related projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in auditing and internal controls, preferably in the utilities industry.
  • Deep expertise in financial management, risk analysis, and internal control frameworks, with the ability to manage cross-functional financial risks.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, with experience managing stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 15:00 – 23:00
