Business Development Manager Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new sales leads, pitching products and/or services, and maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers. The role involves research, sales, and customer relations.

  • Research:
    • Identify new leads and potential markets through online research, especially on social media.
    • Research the needs of other companies and learn who makes purchasing decisions.
  • Sales:
    • Pitch products and services to potential clients via email or phone.
    • Develop quotes and proposals to meet client needs.
    • Negotiate and renegotiate contracts with clients.
  • Customer Relations:
    • Maintain relationships with existing clients through regular communication and updates about company products.
    • Train team members in sales and customer relation skills.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, experience in leading virtual teams, and proficiency in managing complex projects. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.
