Supply Chain Manager Job Description

This job posting is for a Supply Chain Manager position. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, including inventory control, vendor selection, and quality assurance.

The role of the Supply Chain Manager will be to develop and implement policies and procedures for the supply chain department. This includes planning and implementing activities related to timely and cost-effective inventory control, establishing proper vendor selection criteria, and ensuring that procurement is made through suppliers who meet these criteria.

The Supply Chain Manager will also be responsible for managing inventory levels, forecasting and planning production, and coordinating the delivery of finished goods to destination. Additionally, the role will involve supervising QA staff to ensure 100% quality assurance of products and conducting unannounced internal meetings with divisional Incharges in the supply chain department.

Required skills and qualifications include BBA/MBA (majors in Supply Chain) with Diploma in Supply Chain Management or any Master Level Degree in Supply Chain. Experience should be around 5-6 years with analytical and managerial abilities, ability to interface with all levels of internal management and supplier management, strong analytical abilities, ability to plan, control and direct activities and resources related to planning and scheduling, strong presentation and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement supply chain policies and procedures

  • Establish vendor selection criteria and procure materials through approved vendors
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate delivery of finished goods
  • Supervise QA staff to ensure quality assurance of products
  • Conduct internal meetings with divisional Incharges
Qualifications:
  • BBA/MBA (majors in Supply Chain)
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Master Level Degree in Supply Chain
  • 5-6 years of experience in supply chain management
