Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and be proficient in productivity systems such as NetSuite and Bill.com.

The Accounts Payable Associate role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors. Key responsibilities include managing accounts payable, handling vendor invoice coding and approval workflows, establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors, and ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner.

Additionally, the successful candidate will process manual check requests and wires, investigate and resolve problems with vendor invoicing, manage returned payments and work to collect update information from vendors, assist in the 1099 process by collecting W-9's, and ensure coding is correct.

In this role, you will also assist with month end close by performing accounting duties such as GL account maintenance and recording journal entries for accruals and reconciling AP accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable using NetSuite and Bill.com
  • Handle vendor invoice coding and approval workflows
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors
  • Process manual check requests and wires
  • Investigate and resolve problems with vendor invoicing
  • Manage returned payments and work to collect update information from vendors
  • Assist in the 1099 process
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable role
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Competency with productivity systems, for example, NetSuite, Bill.com, Excel
  • Basic data entry skills
  • Comfortable with math and calculations
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
