Job Title: Procurement Specialist with Japanese Language Skills

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing the procurement of food and non-food items from various sources, including other MTC locations and vendors nationwide.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as intermediate math skills for profit calculations, measurements, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure food and non-food items from diverse sources
  • Negotiate prices with vendors and monitor inventory levels
  • Create purchasing plans based on volume, assortment, and lead times
  • Process receiving and post into AS400 accurately and promptly

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field and 2-3 years of purchasing or relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong problem-solving skills are also essential.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • 2-3 years purchasing or relevant experience
  • Business-level English and Japanese (read/write/speak/listen)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate math skills for profit calculations, measurements, and inventory management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes is a plus
