Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced operator to operate heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities:
  • Transport goods over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo onto trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Plan efficient routes to reach destinations on time while minimizing fuel consumption and maximizing productivity.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo deliveries.
  • Interact professionally with customers and clients when picking up or delivering cargo.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other drivers to coordinate schedules and report delays or problems.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers to keep them in good working condition.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with required endorsements for operating heavy-duty equipment.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses for specific types of equipment.
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a mining or construction environment.
  • Experience with basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and awareness of site hazards.
  • Physically fit to work in demanding outdoor conditions.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for inspections and minor maintenance.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
