Sales Relationship Officer
Role OverviewA Sales Relationship Officer plays a pivotal role in fostering meaningful connections between the bank and its customers. They are tasked with understanding the unique financial needs and goals of clients, serving as a dedicated point of contact for personalized assistance and guidance.
Whether it's opening accounts, navigating financial products, or addressing concerns, they provide tailored solutions to enhance the banking experience.
Duties and Responsibilities- Implement Sales Plans: Implement approved sales/service plans to achieve the bank's growth objectives by agreeing on micro-level sales/service delivery plans with BM/RM.
- Sell Products: Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with customers as per the bank's SOP.
- Meet Sales Targets: Achieve sales targets/objectives in assigned areas ethically and in accordance with SOPs.
- Genuine Sales: Ensure genuine sales by avoiding family loaning, activist base lending, and adjustment lending.
- Profitability: Make the business profitable through loan sales and increasing the customer base following SOPs.
- Market Products: Market company products and develop strategies accordingly.
- Persuasion and Negotiation: Possess aptitude for persuasion and negotiation.
- Business Opportunities: Identify business opportunities by prospecting and evaluating industry position.
- Credit Evaluation: Evaluate customer profiles using the five C's of credit.
- Communicate Terms: Communicate terms and conditions of products effectively.
- Physical Verification: Conduct physical verification of prospective clients to ensure on-track performance.
- Loan Repayments: Proactively collect and ensure timely loan repayments by communicating with clients, following SOPs for collections.
- Customer Documents: Handle customer legal documents carefully to prevent misuse.
- Deposit Loan Repayments: Guide customers to deposit loan repayments at the cash counter only.
- Cash Handling: Avoid cash handling during RO functions; if necessary, ensure strict compliance with collection manual.
- Field Activity Plans: Prepare weekly field activity plans and discuss deviations with LM.
- Customer Meetings: Conduct monthly/quarterly customer meetings as per product programs.
- Booking Loans: Book loans in compliance with bank policies, procedures, ethics, and standards.
- Product Knowledge: Continuously update product and service knowledge, suggesting improvements based on client feedback.
- Market Assessments: Conduct market assessments to identify new selling opportunities and review existing markets in consultation with line manager.
- Internal Service Standards: Meet internal service standards and ensure no customer complaints by following fair treatment policies.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers.
- Fraud Reporting: Report any fraud or potential loss cases to line manager/HOD.
- SOP Compliance: Ensure compliance with SOPs and SBPs to protect the bank's reputation and prevent financial, operational, and market losses.
- Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution; MBA is preferable.
- Experience: Preferably have 0-1 years of experience in a related field.
