Sourcing Specialist

Overview

This role involves managing the sourcing process from vendor identification to production follow-ups, ensuring quality and cost targets are met for buyers.

  • We seek a sourcing specialist with strong textile knowledge, able to identify suitable suppliers and manage product development.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor management, order execution, and quality assurance coordination.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and T&A tracking tools is required.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Sourcing and Vendor Management: Source suitable suppliers and manufacturers based on buyer requirements.
  2. Product Development: Prepare cost sheets, product specs, and time & action (T&A) calendars.
  3. Order Execution: Ensure timely order placements, follow-ups on production, and smooth shipment execution.
  4. Vendor Evaluations: Conduct regular vendor evaluations on quality, capacity, compliance, and pricing.
  5. Quality Assurance: Coordinate with quality teams and labs for testing and inspection processes.
  6. Documentation: Maintain documentation related to orders, approvals, samples, and production.
  7. Communication: Work closely with buyers to understand product expectations, share updates, and provide clear communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Textile/Fashion Merchandising or Business.
  • 25 years of experience in textile merchandising, sourcing, or buying.
  • Strong understanding of fabric types, trims, production processes, dyeing, and printing techniques.
  • Familiar with lead time management and quality assurance coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Excel, ERP systems, and T&A tracking tools.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience dealing with international buyers and export markets.
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends and textile fairs.
