Job Description

Tax Specialist Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tax Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review tax returns in compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Research and interpret tax laws and rulings to provide accurate advice and guidance to clients or the organization.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients or the organization.
  • Meet with clients to discuss their tax situation, goals, and concerns.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner to clients or stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and consulting.
  • Proficiency in tax software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in tax calculations and documentation.
  • Commitment to upholding professional standards and ethical guidelines in the practice of tax law and accounting.
  • Integrity and discretion when handling confidential client information.
