
Grant Compliance Officer

Seeking a highly skilled Grant Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social sciences or public policy, with qualifications such as ACCA, ACMA, CIA, CA, MBA, or a postgraduate degree in a related field.
Responsibilities:- Compliance and Grants: Coordinate and ensure compliance with all grant and contractual requirements, including donor regulations.
- Organizational Culture: Support the development of an organizational culture that promotes transparency, accountability, and high performance.
- Grants System: Design an effective grants management system to be implemented at the institutional level, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
- Budgeting: Establish an effective budget system for project and support costs.
- Funding Oversight: Advise on the overall status of how projects are utilizing funds.
- Grant Proposals: Provide support in writing winning grant proposals.
- Reporting: Deliver briefings to senior management.
- Donor Support: Establish an effective system of grant management support to donors.
- Proposal Budgeting: Oversee the design and preparation of budgets for proposals.
- Agreement Review: Review all grant agreements and advise on their acceptability and practicality.
- Financial Monitoring: Review sub-grant agreements and contracts to ensure they fulfill donor/legal requirements.
- Financial Policies: Oversee financial policies and procedures for accurate and consistent recording and reporting of financial matters.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial requirements of donor agencies.
- Laws and Regulations: Maintain up-to-date compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare Final Accounts and get them audited by an external auditor.
- Staff Guidance: Guide and monitor the work of staff under supervision.
- Reports and Presentations: Prepare and present comprehensive written and oral reports.
- Organizational Planning: Participate in strategic and operational planning.
- Receivables: Keep track of receivables.
- Grant Writing: Strong grant writing skills.
- Budget Monitoring Tools: Experience in developing user-friendly budget monitoring tools.
- Leadership and Communication: Excellent management and communication skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently to a high professional standard.
- Presentation Skills: Good presentation and communication skills.
- Teamwork: Team player.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail.
