
Director of Academic Affairs

The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field, preferably from a HEC recognized university/institute. A strong background in teaching, research, and mentoring students and faculty members is essential. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in academic administration or senior leadership roles within an educational institution, with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of leadership experience.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement the faculty's strategic plans to improve QS Ranking, while exercising supervisory control over academic/non-academic staff.
- Appraise and assign KPIs to Faculty teams on personal and career development plans, collaborating with HODs/Regional Directors and DVC-Academics.
- Prepare annual budgets detailing variables of Finance and new/existing programs, aligning with 5-year goals.
- Facilitate VC Office, DVC-Academics, and HDS departments regarding appointments as per university guidelines and rules.
- Ensure supervision of arrangements for smooth examination conduct, including scrutiny of exam papers and preparation of results with 100% accuracy.
- Assign responsibilities to all teaching and non-teaching staff in consultation with faculty Regional Director/Director/Principal/HOD.
- Review and approve course offerings, allocations, and timetables prepared by respective HODs.
- Permit students to proceed on industrial and study tours based on Director/Principal/HOD recommendations.
- Allocate additional responsibilities to employees when required.
- Chair committees at university/faculty level and participate in departmental decision-making and governance.
- Lead and develop internal/external networks to foster collaboration, share information, and promote the department/university.
- Promote and market the work of the department nationally/internationally.
- Exercise academic leadership for subject area teaching and research activities.
- Teach assigned courses according to faculty workload policy.
- Lead high-impact factor research in related areas and coordinate cross-disciplinary research projects/patents.
- Establish collaborative partnerships with national/international institutions or external bodies.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in relevant field from a HEC recognized university/institute.
- Proven record of academic achievement, such as publications, research, and teaching experience.
- Extensive experience in academic administration or senior leadership roles within an educational institution, with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of leadership experience.

- Ability to manage financial resources effectively and allocate funds for academic and research purposes.
- Strategic leadership skills to set and execute long-term academic goals.

- Ability to build partnerships with other universities, research institutions, and industry stakeholders to enhance recognition and research output.
