Lead Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, planning, and managing the company's cash flows and financing matters.

About the Role

The main purpose of this position is to arrange borrowing funds from approved lending institutions in line with the prescribed policy aimed at maximizing liquidity. You will also be responsible for forecasting daily/monthly cash requirements and monitoring imprest accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and update sources of financing from lending institutions to finance long-term or short-term projects as needed.
  • Initiate funding and coordinate with financing sources to meet the company's fund requirements and loan repayments.
  • Analyze financing models to assess the most suitable options for projects, considering key instruments such as interest rates, internal rates of return, installment plans, security requirements, and Earnings per Share.
  • Negotiate loans from financial institutions at competitive rates.
  • Review monthly reconciliations of running finance accounts.
  • Ensure no outstanding debts are overdue and settle dues within the terms of loan agreements.
  • Review drafts of agenda items for Board approval and all documents before submission for disbursement of loans and creation of charges.
  • Monitor and assess petty expenses of Cash Offices and review Imprest Accounts for various departments, ensuring regular reconciliations.
  • Arrange Letters of Credit through designated banks against purchase orders/contracts, ensuring all legal and contractual requirements are met.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will work closely with senior management and the Board of Directors to ensure that the company's financial goals are met.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A CA / ACMA qualification with at least 6 years of post-membership experience
  • Or an ACCA / MBA from a recognized university with at least 9 years of experience
  • Functional and team lead experience of at least 4 years is mandatory
