Building Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at National Telephone Co-Op Association. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings department, including operating and maintaining various building climate control systems, alarm systems, and other mechanical equipment devices.
The Building Maintenance Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining heating and cooling units, utilizing department personnel or outside contractors, and performing scheduled preventative maintenance on heat pumps and other mechanical devices. They will restore and replace units as needed and maintain office alarms for headquarters and respond to alarms after normal working hours.
This role requires strong technical skills, including the ability to operate and maintain database records on a computer, understand and assist in maintaining climate control systems, alarm systems, and other heating and air conditioning units, and replace filters. The ideal candidate will have a technical training program in facility equipment management or equivalent work experience.
In addition to technical skills, this role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
