IT Architect Role

The organization seeks an IT Architect to design and manage client infrastructures.

This position requires delivering applications across on-premises and cloud-native infrastructures with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement client infrastructures for Windows 10 Enterprise, ensuring technical protection and security.
  • Migrate approximately 1600 Windows 7 clients to new infrastructure, distributing them across Germany and remote sites.
  • Plan and execute the migration of scripts from AD domain to Cisco AnyConnect VPN tunnels on Windows 10 LTSB.
  • Coordinate software, system, and solution design in IT projects, maintaining compliance with guidelines and standards.
  • Identify optimization potentials of IT processes, reducing costs and improving quality.
  • Evaluate IT processes for inconsistencies, redundancies, and dependencies.
  • Accelerate standards in IT systems and processes, recognizing automation potentials.
  • Ensure regular reporting to team leaders on work progress, risks, and issues.
  • Participate in working groups, preparing presentations and decision templates.
  • Perform tasks as contact person for customers, departments, and teams.
  • Advise customers on new products, features, innovations, and their implementation/solution options.
  • Design new Windows client releases for various application areas.
  • Plan, design, and develop Group-wide client management and software distribution (Microsoft Endpoint Manager).

Requirements:

  • Experience in delivering applications across on-premises and cloud-native infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune (Microsoft Endpoint Manager).
  • Solid knowledge in the development of client releases in complex IT landscapes.
  • Relevant experience in dealing with Windows 10 in the enterprise environment.
  • Good knowledge of operating systems, networks, servers, Internet, and end devices.
  • Proven capabilities in modeling application and system architectures.
  • Presence of ITIL Foundation V3 and Microsoft MCTS certificates desirable.
  • Very good English skills required, spoken and written.
