Seeking a visionary leader in software development to spearhead the creation of high-availability web applications and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Port existing web applications to current industry standards, designing scalable solutions using standard technologies.
  2. Design and develop mobile applications to accompany the web application, adopting a cross-platform approach or native platform-specific applications.
  3. Create detailed software designs and document requirements, including conducting a Software Requirements Analysis (SRA).
  4. Develop code with unit tests and conduct requirements testing.
  5. Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, bug-fix and provide support for the web and mobile applications.
  6. Provide technical documentation outlining variables, functions, and methods used, including an Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) specifying database relations and a step-by-step explanation of the code.
  7. Coordinate with higher management, log project information daily, and file reports, being on-call for consultation.
  8. Develop comprehensive end-user documentation and training materials, including screencast/screen-recorded step-by-step tutorials.
Requirements
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field, with mastery of programming, UI/UX design, customization of software, and relevant skills.
  2. 8+ years of experience in software development in a particular technology stack, with at least 3+ years as a software architect/manager/team lead.
  3. Excellent development and architecture skills with a solid grasp of web development.
  4. Strong understanding of various internet technologies and tools.
  5. Experience in databases, database design, database optimization, and creating/maintaining ERDs.
  6. Extensive experience developing on a single stack and deployment environment, with cloud deployment experience a plus.
  7. Knowledge of object-oriented programming and software development life cycle best practices, extensive analytical and troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with Agile and SCRUM.
  8. Familiarity with dependency/package managers, templating engines, and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM).
  9. Experience with third-party ORM and templating engines may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  10. Experienced in the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern.
  11. Familiarity with software testing, particularly unit testing.
  12. Familiarity with version control/source control systems and platforms.
  13. Solid technical documentation skills.
  14. A portfolio of live/demoable applications will be a plus.
