Job Title: Learning Strategy Lead

Zindagi Trust aims to enhance educational outcomes by providing high-quality learning experiences for children in public sector schools across Pakistan.

We foster a collaborative environment and drive impactful change through innovative academic programs, advocacy for policy reform, and teacher development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching Resources and Frameworks
    • Develop an overall vision for subjects and grade levels by examining international curricula and best practices
    • Design Scheme of Studies for teachers' guidance including innovative approaches, teacher guidelines, and resources suggested activities aligned with relevant curriculum documents
  • Teacher Support and Culture
    • Conduct weekly planning meetings with teachers to support lesson planning and collaboration
    • Co-teach and model teach where needed to promote effective teaching practices
    • Mentor teachers in developing content and pedagogical skills as per need
    • Develop needs-based professional development and conduct one training session per term
    • Help teachers develop respectful relationships with students and positive classroom cultures focusing on students who most need their support
    • Help teachers create positive professional learning communities collaborating with and supporting team members in pursuit of shared vision of student excellence
    • Support teachers in creating inclusive classrooms where all students feel valued and supported
  • Reporting Monitoring and Evaluation
    • Maintain detailed records of training activities, teacher support, and program evaluations
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on progress of students in subject and grade levels
    • Examine and analyze assessment data regularly to track student learning and identify areas of growth
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in subject-area or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Formal teaching qualification, e.g., B.Ed M.Ed CELTA
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience in related subjects with background in providing professional development and support to other educators
  • In-depth knowledge of curriculum and instructional strategies
  • Strong vision for achievement in subject area
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
