Job Description">

As a senior DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based production servers, primarily Ubuntu. Your duties will include configuring, optimizing, and securing NGINX for web servers, reverse proxies, and load balancing.

You will build and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure for web platforms and APIs using automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.

Additionally, you will develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployments, handle server security, hardening, firewall configuration, and system monitoring.

Regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery planning are also part of your responsibilities.

You will troubleshoot infrastructure issues, including networking, DNS, and SSL/TLS, and collaborate with development teams to implement DevOps best practices.

Leading incident response, root cause analysis, and system performance tuning is also an essential part of this role.

Requirements
  • Expert-level knowledge of Linux systems, especially Ubuntu Server.
  • Strong experience configuring and optimizing NGINX for various use cases.
  • Proven track record in server management, hardening, and system monitoring.
  • Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS management, and SSL/TLS configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker required, Kubernetes a plus).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar.
  • Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent.
  • Strong scripting abilities in Bash (Python is a plus).
  • Experience setting up secure, high-availability, production-grade environments.
  • Solid focus on system security, data backups, and disaster recovery.
