
HR Support Specialist

The role of an HR Support Professional is to provide administrative assistance to the Human Resources department. This includes handling internal and external inquiries, maintaining employee records, and serving as a point of contact with benefit vendors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
- Maintaining calendars for the HR management team.
- Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.
- Supporting performance management procedures.
- Scheduling meetings, interviews, HR events, and maintaining agendas.
- Performing orientations and updating records of new staff.
- Producing and submitting reports on general HR activity.
- Processing payroll and resolving any payroll errors.
- Completing termination paperwork and exit interviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (essential).
- 3 years of experience as an HR Assistant (essential).
- Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
- Effective HR administration and people management skills.
- Exposure to payroll practices.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
